2019 Lincoln Navigator Reserve 4WD, Ebony / Russet. YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR ADDITIONAL FACTORY REBATES/FACTORY INCENTIVES ON TOP OF: $500 - Wish List Retail Bonus Customer Cash. Exp. 01/02/2020 Tidelands Ford Lincoln has been serving your community for over 20 years. Cruiser and the Navigator.

Patrol had a better ride, but the interior was too retro. The land cruiser had a nasty gearbox and the third row seats were really small. The Tahoe build quality was lacking along with the small rear seats. The Escalade interior wasn’t to my taste and wasn’t really a car designed for the unprepared roads. The expedition was excellent but by the time you got to the trim levels that added the deployable steps and 360 camera, the cost was massive for a car with a truck interior. For a bit more cash a month I could get the Expedition but with the A7’s lux interior.

Drive modes are good and sort out locking differential, 4 high or 4 low, traction control on or off, throttle response and suspension ride. All designed to keep traction for the right conditions without you having to think about it too much.

Fuel economy 13 litres per 100km

Seats and comfort are really good. The rear seat entertainment system is great, easy to use and links to phones etc if you want to stream live shows etc. The third row is good for adults even on long trips.

Driving wise I can get through really deep powdery loose sand, waddle down really deeply rutted tracks and trundle over speed bumps with no problem. In traffic you can look over the heads of most other traffic. The cruise control works all the way to a stop although the way of setting it etc is done better on the Audi I had before. The HUD is very good and can be read with polarised sunglasses on (the Audi one was unreadable). If you need to accelerate hard you can but the fuel tank will be empty pretty quickly.

Annoying things (nothing is perfect): the roof is hard to get to for loading the roof rack etc. The boot/trunk sits so high up that any dogs need to be pretty athletic to get in there and shopping needs extra effort to load in (the small glass screen trunk is really high to lift stuff into). The amount of glass in the car means it heats up pretty quickly so plaster it in he best sun film you can afford. The A/C could be faster to cool down and the ventilated seats blow cabin air into the seat rather than having their own a/c so it takes a while to start getting cold air onto the seat. The phone charging cradle storage could do with being cooled in our climate because the phone gets cooked if the lid is closed and shuts itself down. You’ll also need USB cable to use car play anyway so why have the charging cradle? Sync 3 is good but it would be useful to be able to control the rear seat entertainment from that massive screen. The car is massive and you need that 360 camera to get around parking lots but the camera switches off at too low a speed so you have to keep selecting it. The power train isn’t as smooth as it should be at about 30mph as it shuffles around the many gears trying to keep the mpg low. The first few gears could be smoother to transition through too: Audi had this figured out in 2011.

Finally, don’t stress about he unusual gear selection using the piano keys, after a week of use it’s totally normal.
